Behavioral Interview Guide

Think about it - the only way a resume and a traditional interview are predictive indicators of success when hiring a new employee is IF they will face the exact same scenarios and types of people at your company as they did on their last job.

Most leaders don’t approach the interview process with much more than a quick get-to-know-you chat. More is needed. For that reason, we recommend using a behavioral interview.

This guidebook defines the process, gives evidence of success, and offers some basic questions. We also provide you with a Behavioral Interview Matrix that offers example questions and a script for you to use in the interview. Finally, we’ve provided one of our favorite tools, the Motivity Leader Scenario approach, for hiring a more senior leader.
