Ask 5 leaders what is involved in their role as a leader, and you will likely get 5 different answers. Our definition of leader varies based our leader who served as role models (good and bad), book we’ve read, experiences that seemed to work, and failures. All of these sources are valuable in creating our leadership persona, but we often make it more complex than is necessary.

Here we provide the 5 things that we believe constitute the role of a leader. We see the leader as a mission-centric curator of resources, talent, influence, and motivation.
